HISTORY
Bel Air Veterinary Hospital Inc. was established at this location in 1945. When Dr Richard Cook came in 1959, Tollgate Road was still a dirt road from Rt 1 (Belair Road) to our building. Most of today's housing developments were active farms and the practice provided care for their livestock and pets. As the area has become developed, the small animal practice has become our focus.

The practice philosophy remains unchanged: To educate and involve our owners in providing quality health care for their pets.

SERVICES
For information on any of our services or to discuss a problem, our staff is available from 8 am until 8 pm Monday through Friday, and until 2 pm (Winter) or 4pm (Summer) on Saturday. When you telephone, we will ask for your name and your pet's name so that your records may be consulted to properly assist you. Staff record condition, up-dates, verify refills, answer many routine questions, or present your file to the doctor.

BAVH offers full medical care for your pet including an on-site laboratory, ultrasound, radiology, dental and traditional and laser surgical services. We also utilize referral centers in veterinary specialties such as, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, oncology and specialty surgical procedures. We strongly encourage preventative health care. Staff members will provide information on vaccination, routine and senior testing, nutrition, dental health, and parasite control. Many pamphlets and brochures on pet care are available from our office.
